WIFI
The university's Wi-Fi is fast and very reliable in almost all buildings, so setting it up should be one of your first steps.
Please note that you'll always need to download a configuration file, which requires internet access! Since it's somewhat inconvenient to need internet access to access the internet, we recommend either using a hotspot on your smartphone for the configuration or downloading all the necessary files at home.

Click on the link (above) Download the configuration file from the page Install the file: To do so, go to your device's settings; the new configuration file will already be highlighted there (usually, you also have the option to install the file immediately upon receiving a notification that the download has been successful) Follow the instructions in the file (enter your university ID and password) Log in to the Wi-Fi

Download the configuration tool Make sure to select the University of Bonn as the installation location and download the tool for your Windows version (most users should have Windows 10) Open the .exe file and install it Follow the instructions in the program Once the configuration is complete, you can log in to the Wi-Fi
