Quality Improvement Measures
The quality improvement funds are provided to universities by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia to improve teaching and study conditions. A quality improvement funding committee, composed of representatives of lecturers, academic staff, and students, decides on investments for each semester. These funds finance, among other things, tutorials, our student council's own book lending service, and study-related excursions or trips to symposia. However, ongoing costs for the semester, such as library fees and funds for mandatory internships, are also covered by quality improvement funds. For the funds you can apply for directly from us, you can download the corresponding reimbursement forms below. To ensure a smooth process, we ask you to read the application instructions carefully.
You can apply for a grant of €40 for the printing of your bachelor's/master's thesis and partial reimbursement of travel expenses to symposia.
Important: Please sign the form yourself and send it along with the original invoice to the student council or bring it in. If you don't use the form or only submit a copy of the invoice, you will not receive any money from us.
How do I submit the printing cost claim?
1. Download the document “Erstattung Fachschaft Druck.docx” (Reimbursement for student council printing).
2. Fill out the document as shown in the sample application.
3. Stick the receipt you received from the copy shop onto a white sheet of paper.
4. Send the receipt (original, not a copy!) and the completed application by mail to the student council.
When do I use which form?
If you only received an unaddressed receipt from the copy shop (usually the case), use the attached “Invoice” reimbursement form.
However, if you have received a proper invoice with an address, and the address does NOT say “University of Bonn” first, you must fill out the attached self-issued receipt. If you have any questions about how to fill out the self-issued receipt, please contact the student council.
